Upsell Items

Manage additional items: This option allows you to add and manage additional items that can increase revenue by offering extra services during the booking. These could include airport transfers, breakfast, or the option for late check-out.

1. Displaying Upsell Items

Upsell items are displayed on the booking page after the guest has selected a room or rooms.

Items can be used to display and allow booking of optional items and services or to add mandatory fees such as taxes and charges.

You can create up to 20 upsell items per property.

2. Types of Upsell Items

a. Optional: Optional items can be selected by the guest on the booking page.

i. You can set the quantity value, which can be positive or negative (to create a discount).

ii. You can set "Per Room" and "Period" to calculate how many items will be needed.

b. Mandatory: This type is automatically added to the booking and cannot be removed, such as a cleaning fee.

c. Not Used: Upsell items that you do not want to use should be set to this status.

3. Item Descriptions

  • The description can be added in English and can contain any information you want to enhance its display on the booking page.
  • Mandatory items will be displayed in the room section, while optional items will be shown as "Add Extras" in the designated order.

4. VAT

VAT rate for items: Each item can have a specific VAT rate. Some items may be VAT-free or have reduced rates.

5. Creating Upsell Items for Different Rooms

  1. Log in to the BookersDesk Panel
  2. Select the “Upsell Items” option from the menu.
  3. Click “Add Upsell”.
  4. Define the item type (Optional, Mandatory, or Not Used).
  5. Set the price and description for the item.
  6. Display prices including mandatory fees on the initial booking page.
  7. Once you make changes, don't forget to click "Save" to save them.
