Upsell Items
Managing Additional Items:
This option allows you to add and manage additional items that can increase revenue by offering extra services during the booking process. These may include airport transfers, breakfast, or the option for late check-out.
1. Display of Upsell Items
Upsell items are shown on the booking page after the guest has selected the room or rooms.
Items can be used to display and allow the booking of optional items and services or add mandatory fees like taxes and charges.
You can create up to 20 upsell items per property.
2. Types of Upsell Items
a. Optional: Optional items can be selected by the guest on the booking page.
i. You can set the amount value, which can be either positive or negative (to create a discount).
ii. You can set "Per Room" and "Period" to calculate how many items will be needed.
b. Required: This type is automatically added to the booking and cannot be removed, such as a cleaning fee.
c. Not Used: Upsell items you do not want to use, set them to this status.
3. Description of Items
- The description can be added in English and should include the information you wish to display to enhance the presentation on the booking page.
- Mandatory items will appear in the room section, while optional items will appear as "Add Extras" in the specified order.
4. VAT
VAT for Items:
Each item can have a specific VAT rate. Some items may be VAT-free or subject to reduced rates.
5. Creating Upsell Items for Different Rooms
- Log in to the BookersDesk panel
- Select the "Upsell Items" option from the menu.
- Click "Add Upsell".
- Choose the type of item (Optional, Required, or Not Used).
- Enter the price and description for the item.
- Show prices including mandatory charges on the first page of the booking.
- After making the changes, remember to click "Save" to save the changes.
